What happens If I qualify for a grant for single mothers then get married?

What will happen if I qualify for a grant for single mothers to go to college and then get married? Do they fine me? Will they even find out and if they do will they care? Please no smart ass answers. thanks!

They won’t fine you, but you will no longer be eligible for the next year. Grants are usually done year by year, so they will find out when you file your taxes.
